“Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Psalms 127:3 KJV
You are truly a gift from the Lord!
I’m reminiscing about our journey so far and all the great memories we already have.
One funny story before you were born…your mom and I took birthing classes and CPR training and all sorts of stuff that freaked us out. During our birthing class the instructor was giving us as many details of what to expect since pretty much everyone in the class was having their first child. Some details I wanted to know and some I wish could’ve been left out. She started going through the whole breathing techniques and pushing stuff. She’s making crazy faces and taking it very seriously. Your daddy was kinda getting freaked out. Then she adds, “Now don’t be embarrassed if you have a bowel movement during this process. Trust me it happens.” Without hesitation, I asked if that advice was for me or mommy! The class erupted in laughter and your mommy’s face turned red as can be!
Our drive home from the hospital was the most nerve wrecking drive ever. I was being so careful and slow that I was probably the most dangerous vehicle on the road.
Your first word was wow. Your mommy was holding you and the two of you were watching the snowfall through the window. Mommy said you were staring with amazement and said “WOW” almost in slow motion.
Yes, you said dada before mama. Mommy couldn’t stand it but daddy loved it. It was almost a month later that you said mama. Your mommy was so proud and beamed with joy.
Your first show was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and you were crazy about the Hot Dog song. Later shows include Sophia the First, Paw Patrol, and dancing to Rio 2. You love to dance! Speaking of dancing…
You learned your ABCs around 16 months and can count to 10 with ease! You are already starting to actually count things too so it’s more than just memorization.
You’re 22 months old now and you know more songs than I can count. From Old MacDonald to Bingo to Jingle Bells to Frosty the Snowman to Jesus Loves Me and on and on and on!! There are seriously too many to count.
Daddy loves you girl! I gotta get some sleep but we’ll reminisce some more later. Just a few memories and milestones.
